Hi. I'm Srinivas Avireddy

I love Research & Development and my area of interest is Prediction analytics of massive data ( Data science ). I graduated from Madras Institute of Technology, Anna University and I currently work at PayPal as Financial Systems Backend Engineer in Core Payments Team. I currently lead and maintain the Big Data real time monitoring framework that monitors realtime traffic of PayPal. I develop mostly in Java and Python and have participated in several hackathons.

Dropbox Clone


Developed a clone of Dropbox with upload, Download and Sync File Capalibilities. Programmed in C# ,MySQL as DB , PHP and Python for the backend.

MITSAT-CTDT Project


Best Project Award by CTDT for automating Student Attendance tracking and Student portal System for MIT using Bluetooth, C# , MATLAB, MySQl & MongoDB.

Senior Year Thesis


Map Reduce API framework for Heterogeneous Multi-core systems to tap underlying CPU + GPU resources for general purpose computing. This was shorlisted by IEEE

Summer Research Thesis


Developed a timestamp based two level filtering model to prevent Distributed Denial of service attacks in a cloud environment. Proposed scheme significantly improved CPU utilization by 17% and Memory utilization by 42%.

Realtime Monitoring Framework @ PayPal


Developed a massive data processing workflow in Hadoop clusters followed by a realtime monitoring dashboard using d3.js and HighCharts. This significantly reduced time to identify and solve customer impacting issues from days to less than 2 hours.

Prediction model for Dialysis patients


Currently mentoring two of my Juniors in developing a supervised learning model to monitor vital parameters of Dialysis patients suffering from Chronic Kidney disease using scikit-learn library in python.
